Fettuccine Alfredo Stroganoff

Okay, now I am at a loss. I have no idea why the pictures keep rotating. If you know anything about this, please let me know. Last night we took a departure from red meat and had Fettuccine Alfredo Stroganoff. It was made with ground turkey! The only issues were we had no safflower oil, and I bought the wrong kind of alfredo noodle mix. Buy the kind with the seasoning packet.

Ingredents:
2 Tbs. Hain Safflower Oil
1/2 cup chopped onion - my mom wrote - or use 1 tlbsp minced onion
1 Pound ground turkey
1 Tbs. flour
1 Box Hain Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta my mom wrote - + onion and garlic powder
1 can (8 oz.) sliced mushrooms with liquid - my mom wrote - or 6 oz. jar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Cup dairy sour cream (my mom wrote lite)
2 Tbs. Hain Safflower Margarine
2 Tbs. chopped parsley
My mom wrote - serve with peas
labeled "Excellent"

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender. Add ground turkey and cook, stirring frequently, until browned. Sprinkle with flour and stir to mix. Add seasoning mix, mushrooms with liquid, 1/2 cup water, salt and pepper, and cook, uncovered, 10 minutes stirring often. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to directions on box. Drain and add 2 Tbs. margarine, tossing gently to mix. Stir sour cream into turkey mixture and cook, just until hot. Place pasta on warm platter and spoon sauce over. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. My mom wrote - + garlic and parmesan cheese. Serves 4.

I am going to assume this was from a Hain box. I am not sure if they even make that brand anymore.

Score: 3 out of 5
